Not long ago, I was looking on Apple’s App Store, when I came across yet another, and more impactful app that LiveGreen. It’s an app that allows you to have fun picking up trash from the streets of your city, and has so far succeeded in making me more aware of the trash that filled the streets. Say hello to Litterati.

So far with this genius idea, I have been compelled to pick up 27 pieces of trash from areas around my home that I would have otherwise left alone. After school, I went out to collect some litter, and take care of my home. Before I had the app, I admit, I would look at trash in the roads, and do nothing. Now with it, I feel compelled to find more and more trash lining the sandy beaches of Florida, and the tall buildings of Minneapolis. This is a genius invention, and I will keep on working to make my home greener.

LiveGreen Review: When I tested out LiveGreen, the thing that I was disappointed about was the fact that it never gave me suggestions on how to lower my carbon emissions. There was also portions of the app where you had to pay to get in to them. The most affordable option was $11 a month if I can recall correctly. I still love this idea, but I think it just needs a little bit of fine tuning.
