Today was the day that I traveled to Minneapolis to take a look at what one may call an outstanding development. It was an inspired trip from a woman residing in Duluth, MN, and I loved the idea. It may be what you could call an amazing start-up, but it’s what everyone is calling, the Tare Market.
It’s simple, you go to this somewhat small store get what you need, and pay. Just like many other grocery store-right? Wrong. There’s something special about Tare Market. Every single food product is in bulk. That’s right, you get a bag, and start filling up. They even have a peanut butter and almond butter dispenser in the corner.
This is the first zero waste store in the entire state of Minnesota, and gives a glimpse of what a sustainable future for people around the world looks like. If you live in the area, I highly suggest giving some time to pay a visit. It inspired me to do more good for the planet, and I hope it does for you too.
