The Pacific Plastic Catcher: Update

If you’re familiar with the article that was posted almost a week ago about the plastic catching device in the Pacific, there is an important update that should be shared. (If you’re unfamiliar with it, here is the link to the article – https://globrworld.wordpress.com/2019/05/20/the-pacific-plastic-catcher/)

If you watched the video in the post that was about System 001, it mentioned that part of the system broke off, and that they were working on fixing it.

In a recent Twitter post, the company who invented the device said that the relaunch is set for June, and will be coming out of Hawaii. Previous posts mention also that the root causes of the fracture have been identified, and have been fixed.

Never before has this been done, so it is still quite an amazing feat.
